Collateral value and settlement currency

The asset you hold, its accepted collateral value and the currency used for settlement can be different.

1

Check the contract’s settlement currencies

Open the current Futures contract specifications and find your market. Review the available settlement currencies and the choice shown for your position. Do not assume the underlying asset, quote currency and settlement asset are the same.

2

Check how collateral is valued

Use the Collateral Ratio table for the asset and applicable value tier. Only the eligible portion of its value supports margin; the full wallet value is not necessarily the usable collateral value. Changes in asset price or applicable tier can change the amount of margin it supports.

3

Review conversion conditions

The collateral rules describe automatic conversion into USDT when the required balance is insufficient after a position closes or during liquidation. Review those conditions and the resulting transaction records. The amount realized through a conversion can differ from the asset’s displayed market value.

Before you continue

Use the row for your actual asset and value tier. If a table, example or account calculation disagrees, ask support to clarify before relying on it.
