Separate the cost of an executed trade from a funding payment on a position.
Identify the charge in history
Trading fees relate to executions. Funding is a separate payment mechanism for applicable perpetual contracts. Check the record type, contract, amount, currency and timestamp before comparing charges.
Check the selected contract
Read the funding rate, payment direction, next calculation time and interval shown for that contract. A positive rate generally means longs pay shorts; a negative rate reverses the direction. Use the actual funding record for the completed payment, since an estimate may change.
Compare the same period
Review position size and status for the relevant funding event alongside the contract’s calculation conditions. Include both trading fees and funding when reviewing the position’s outcome. Do not apply one contract’s interval or fee rate to another.
A funding payment is separate from the daily platform share in AI Trading. Check the interval and tariff for your own contract.
