Post-Only, Reduce-Only and time-in-force change how an order may execute.
Read each enabled option
Post-Only is intended to add liquidity. If it would immediately execute against an existing order, the order may be cancelled under the market rules. Check its status after submission instead of assuming it is open.
Check time-in-force
Time-in-force controls how long an order remains eligible to trade and how any unfilled quantity is handled. Read the selected option in the order form; do not assume all markets offer the same settings.
Use position controls in the correct context
On Futures, Reduce-Only is intended to reduce an existing position rather than increase exposure. Check the contract, position direction and size before using it. It does not guarantee that the order will fill.
Options can prevent an order from being accepted or executed. Review the rejection or cancellation reason before replacing it.
